Andromeda is a flexible Joomla 1.7 template created with entertainment websites in mind. It has custom themes for essential extensions like the news sliders, events calendar and forums.
The events are managed by JEvents, a free extension that gives you all the tools you need to succesfully showcase events in your site. The Forums are powered by Kunena, a popular forum extension for Joomla that includes all the standard features a forum needs.
Besides this Andromeda offers you lots of layout configuration options and module positions to organize your content. You don’t need to touch the code to get the template like you want it. Every Joomla and HTML element has been styled to match the template.
If you are new to Joomla you have nothing to worry. The system becomes very intuitive after a while and Andromeda includes a quickstart to help you get started. That means you can install a copy of this demo with everything already configured. In the quickstart we included some extra extensions that will prove useful. For example Mavik Thumbnails to automatically generate thumbnails for articles and AllVideos to easily include videos from diverse providers or your own server.
Although Andromeda is designed for entertainment websites it can easily be customized from the admin panel to fit other types of websites.
